The Pershing County landfill contains 320 acres total. The landfill is currently operating on 46 acres. Hours of operation Wednesday-Sunday,

8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. The landfill is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Landfill fees are collected as such:

1.   Construction debris and rubble from demolition site…………….$5.00 per cubic yard of material

2.  Compacted Cubic Yard $5.50

3. Large Dead Animal $15.00

4. Small Dead Animal $5.00

The Pershing County Landfill is now accepting junk cars free of charge. Towing is not provided. A form is to be filled out upon entering the landfill. The information needed for removal of a junk car is as follows:

VIN Number

Make, model, color and year of vehicle

Registered owners name, address and driver’s license number

Name, address and driver’s license number of person towing vehicle to landfill

(If not registered owner)
