The Lovelock Fire Department is located in Lovelock, NV, the county seat of Pershing County. The Lovelock Fire Department serves both the City of Lovelock and Pershing County
The Fire Department was founded on June 2nd, 1924 and consisted of 15 members. The Lovelock Fire Department runs both a Fire Service and Ambulance Service. All members are required serve on both services. The Lovelock Fire Department has 11 pieces of apparatus. They consist of 5 engines, 1 water tanker, 1 brush truck, 1 rescue truck and 3 ambulances.
The Fire Department has 30 firefighter positions. All firefighters also work in an EMS role. It handles an average of 120 calls for service for the Lovelock Area. Covers an area of about 6068 Square Miles. A large volume of calls are from Interstate 80, which are motor vehicle accidents and general medical calls.
The Lovelock Fire Department handles about an average of 20 structure fires and about 40 to 50 brush and Wild land fires.

- To prevent further damage to property when it will not threaten another life.
- To provide public safety and support to the citizens and visitors to the City of Lovelock and Pershing County, as well as those who we feel could benefit from our actions.
